Palembang - In the effort to advance human resources and support the world of education, PT Satria Bahana Sarana (SBS) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program participated in the International Sriwijaya Mining Games (ISMG) 2023 held at the Sriwijaya University Auditorium.

Eri Virnadi, Project Manager of the Tanjung Enim PT SBS Site Unit, stated that the company is committed to supporting the development of education in Indonesia, especially in the field of mining.

"We strongly support education, especially activities that can provide benefits not only within the campus but also nationally and even internationally," Eri said in his speech on Monday (13/11/2023).

ISMG 2023 is a prestigious event for Mining Engineering Students in Indonesia held every two years at Sriwijaya University. This year's theme is 'Human Resources and Leadership Development for the Smart Mining Era.'

The event serves as a platform to enhance achievements, foster innovation, and instill a spirit of competition, especially for Mining Engineering Students, to have an impact on the future of the mining industry.

PT SBS hopes to contribute to the development of education and the mining industry in Indonesia, as well as expand its network and collaboration with other stakeholders.

"The spirit of the students to continue being motivators for us as a mining industry company, especially in South Sumatra, is crucial to always provide support to students to develop in a visionary manner and become driving forces for the future generation that follows the developments in the mining world, always emphasizing the principles of good mining practice," explained Eri.

ISMG 2023 also features competitions on mining among Mining Engineering Students, including smart mining, rock drilling, bench blasting, face tie-in, hand mucking, crushing and grinding, mine surveying, rock identification, mine evacuating rescue, and mine plan design competitions.
