Jakarta, October 5, 2023 - PT Satria Bahana Sarana (SBS) has received the Good Mining Practice Award 2023 from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) in commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of Mining and Energy.

In this award, PT SBS has been honored for their excellence in Standardization Management and Mining Services in the Pratama category at the PT Bukit Asam (PTBA) site.

This award is a form of government appreciation for mineral and coal mining companies that have successfully implemented good mining practices, serving as a benchmark for the results of government guidance and supervision.

In his speech, Minister of ESDM Arifin Tasrif stated that businesses should continue to provide positive benefits to the environment and society. He said, "May the implementation of good mining practices benefit the entire mineral and coal mining stakeholders and contribute to the well-being of the community."

On the same occasion, Acting Director General of Minerals and Coal at the Ministry of ESDM, Bambang Suswantono, emphasized the importance of mining companies committing to good mining practices to address various challenges. The application of good mining practices is also expected to boost confidence in investment climate and governance in the mining industry in Indonesia.

"The management of mineral and coal mining business activities should be carried out effectively, efficiently, safely, and environmentally friendly, so that our shared goal of creating a mining industry that benefits the prosperity of the people can be achieved," said Bambang Suswantono.

The Ministry of ESDM hopes that mining companies will remain motivated and consistent in realizing responsible mining activities, optimizing the management of mineral and coal resources, having environmental awareness, and prioritizing safety to provide maximum benefits for the prosperity of the community.
